Hi there,

As I get older I start to think about insurance more. I wonder if it’s better to have a Life and Trauma policy with connected benefits, Trauma Plus, buy backs ETC or is it better to have comprehensive Health Insurance?
I realise I need to decided what’s best for my and all that Jazz, but as professionals in the industry what’s been your experience with things like this and if it was you, what would you opt for ?

Hi. I have just received confirmation that a tpd claim has been accepted after many years. From my accident in 2015 to now I have continued paying premiums. Does the payout figure be the 2015 amount of the 2019 that is some $40 k higher

I been contracting for the past 10 years and have 3 and at times 4 regular clients. I never had income protection insurance but recently was started developing anxiety issues and currently on prescribed medication.

A few friends have suggested I should look into income protection. As I’m on medication do you think there would be an issue, thanks?

Hi, I’m a shareholder in a small business (own 40%) but don’t work in the business, not a director but there is a shareholders agreement in place. Is there any business insurance I should have in place to protect my investment?

Our business has been operating for 6 years and there are 3 partners. Individually we have income protection and other business insurances however one of the partners is unfortunately going through a tough time mentally and we are trying to establish if a mental illness is normally covered through income protection?

Any help would be great, thanks

I have purchased a Mazda CX-7 2010 as a private sale and1 day ago and I have noticed it’s lagging when I accelerate the car. Whenever I stop the car at the lights and when I accelerate to go it lags and feels like it has no power to the car. What are my rights as a buyer? Can I sue the seller for misleading me?

Hi,

We are about to make a decision on which builder to use for our renovations.. we have 3 contracts around $600- 650,000 and they each have different insurances quoted. Is there a way to make sure the builder we choose has the right insurance in place? What do we need to be looking out for? thanks

Just bought a pub freehold and we will be owner-operators. We are going through the insurance process and been told we need to insure the pub for 60% more than the purchase price. Does that sound right or would we be paying a higher premium unnecessarily?

Listening to Ben Fordham on 2GB yesterday about issues parents are having with their children and the NDIS got me thinking about insurance options for my children. I’m not talking about the families private health insurance but other insurances like disability or trauma. Are they within the blanket policies of parents, what options are available?

About to start renovating the kitchen, bathroom and do some landscaping. We’re managing the project but because we have different tradies and suppliers coming through the house do we need to do anything with our insurance. What do we need to do to make sure we’re protected if the tradies get injured?

I was recently involved in an accident. It was on a wet day after a long dry spell so roads were slippery. After entering a roundabout we lost control of our car came to a stop but the person behind ran into us. We are uninsured because our car was an old car not worth insuring. We have received a claim from the other persons insurance. Are we liable to pay their costs? In my opinion it was an unfortunate accident although I do believe the other person had time to stop.
