Hi I'm in need of some help in finding some info small business for centre Link. I need to gather up some paper work in which I have no clue where to get it from or where to start ? Since I have just got my abn just to get some money from a company now want use it again. I can't supply all the docs but they want this info which the ato don't even no we got the Abn yet til next yr maybe.

I'm setting up a creative business and want to structure it so that a portion of our profits sit in a special fund we use to create our own stories in prose, theatre and video. Currently I own a pty ltd company, and two creatives are keen to work with me on a freelance capacity, and I'll set aside 50% of the profit from jobs we do through the company, putting that into a story fund. What's the best way to structure this fund's usage, particularly when someone decides to leave the arrangement?

I have a GST question. How is GST treated on a New Residential development? If an apartment is sold off the plan for $800k. Given there has been GST paid in the construction costs , does the developer still need to pay the GST?

Hi guys,
I don't know whether I should invest my minimal savings into the stock market or into a long-term saver. What are the benefits of both? Why should I steer clear of one and not the other? I've heard shares are super rewarding long term, but I also know I need to do a lot of research. Can you help me?

Hi, I'm 26 and looking at investing in the property market.
I recently just received a substantial inheritance which I was not expecting. As great as this is, I'm a carpenter and have zero financial literacy about me and I don't want to just piss it up the wall.

I'm looking at getting some solid advice about purchasing real estate, what I should be looking for, how the whole system works, etc

My investment property has an interest only loan and the bank has just increased the rate quite a bit…the property is working as ok as it has negative gearing but should I change the loan to principal and interest to get a better rate?

Hi, I'm looking at establishing a business in alternative therapies - likely as a Pty Ltd (to access protection from individual liability). I want to purchase some equipment via the business and need to know what order of events is important to accessing taxation concessions. Do I need to establish the business as a Pty Ltd prior to purchase or would it be sufficient to simply register a business name? Thanks

My husband works in construction and has been made redundant and has been given 2 weeks notice. His finishing date is 30th June. His pay week is from the 26th June to 2nd July. He is owed a substantial pay out and we are being told it will roll over into the new financial year which is exactly what we want. Do you think this will be the case?

i run a small business and i had missed place an invoice to pay another business'
i never received a reminder notice. i did received a letter of demand from a debt collecting company if i pay them can i still use the original invoice and claim as expense on tax even though it was not paid to them directly.? and what about these fee is that claimable

My partner and I purchased an investment property.She no longer works and therefore she recieves no tax benefits .Can she legally transfer her share in the property to me and incur no costs to do so.I am at present paying all costs but only recieve half of the tax benefits...??????

I am from a not-for-profit industry peak body.

I am looking for legislation/etc (if such exists) which prevents Commonwealth and State Governments from discriminating between private sector and not-for-profit entities from receiving government funding for doing exactly the same thing or achieving the same outcome.

Can anybody help?

Hi Jenny,

I run a contracting company.

When I only sell product to my clients and not materials and services. What should I expect to pay regards to tax?

My partner seems to think that I would be paying more tax overall when I offer just materials.

I am a sole trader under a trust.
