Hi. I use AFG FLEX as a Mortgage Broker however I find FLEX isnt a great CRM system. It handles loan processing OK, and the SMART marketing is OK - but what I am looking for is a great CRM. I hear about salesforce??
I am looking for help on the best CRM to handle all client interactions/link attachments & emails, along with if I send referrals to referral partners.
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

I heard good things about Salesforce but there is a lot to learn about it. Some people use Infusion Soft,
I knew a broker that uses ACT and he was able to save all of his client communications in it.

I myself is looking for a good practical CRM. If you manage to find something, please either email me on michael@progressloancentre.com.au or phone on 02 9897 9696.

thank you

We used Salesforce for a number of years, and whilst it is a brilliant product, the cost of it let's you down. If it's just 1 license you're after, it should be ok but if it's multiple, the cost is substantial.
You might want to try Podio, as it's highly customisable to whatever you need. We've built an entire system around it which links to things like Infusionsoft (marketing crm engine) and other services. Definitely worth a look if you're willing to put some thought and time into building what you want.
Happy to share the Podio developers contact with you if needed by email.
ACT is another one to have a look at, but not as portable as the other options.
Good luck with it.

Hi Paul,
I am going the the same process and can relate to your comments about Salesforce. Your recommendation for Citrix Podio (podio.com) looks interesting and affordable. I am curious how you get around the data sovereignty issue. Being a mortgage broker in Australia, I thought all customer data needed to reside on Australia servers. Podio uses Amazon Web Services in Dublin. Interested to know your thoughts on this. Thanks.
John

Hi John,
RE: Data safety - We use Google Drive and link it to Podio through their linking software 'Globiflow'. This ensures we still hold the data, and if you ever moved away from Podio, you can delink it.
But this is something you need to discuss with a developer as there are various ways around this. Our data is extremely sensitive, as it contains medical information, and is encrypted so it can't be accessed.
Interestingly, since I posted the previous answer, I've made the decision to return to salesforce, as Podio just wasn't delivering everything I wanted for our business. It all depends on where you are at in your need for a CRM. We've outgrown Podio, but it was a great solution which was cost effective for a good few years. Just be prepared to invest in the customisation of it.
I'd be happy to chat offljne if you need to ask more detailed questions.

Hi Tony
I operated a mortgage broking practice in Qld for 17 years so saw a lot of changes - including the introduction of aggregation. No doubt, the industry has changed still more over the last 5 years. I also saw the need for an independent CRM so I engaged Linx CRM. In fact, I was their first commercial customer and my team was instrumental in helping design its early features. They are well recognised by many industry participants in Aus and NZ. Check it out at www.linxcrm.com/ CEO, Chris Mills is a good friend so happy to introduce you if you wish.
