this has been ignored by everyone for over a day.....so I will offer my thoughts: not attending court is possibly the silliest thing your friend can do. Moving to a different state wont help you because all the different state police forces collaborate to bring you back to court where he will face the original charge plus a heap of other ones. Maybe the best thing your friend can do is stop driving without a licence.
might not be what your mate wants to hear, but driving without a licence is begging for trouble.
your friend needs a lawyer asap.
good luck

Hey There

Not a lawyer but I have some experience here.

A bench warrant may be issued by the court. Which means you are wanted or your friend is wanted by the police.

It is one thing to piss of the police but an entirely different thing to piss off a judge.

You must attend court otherwise there are serious consequences.
