Welcome Suresh

What service do you provide?

Accountant. I start with providing the clients with complete peace of mind (taking care of their tax and other compliance obligations first). I then move to advising them on how they can run their business better (cash flow management, tax planning, team management, etc). I then finally help them grow their businesses to its fullest potential.

What’s the name of the business?

Tax First

Where is the business located?

Suite 9, 37-39 Smith Street, PARRAMATTA NSW 2150

How long have you been an accountant?

I have been an accountant since 2000 (helping in my family business in the financial record keeping side of things from age 18). Professionally I have been helping people with accounting, tax and business advice since 2005.

Is there any particular part of Accountancy you specialise in?

We don’t specialise in any area of accounting but we specialise in helping the clients climb up the ladder of financial success and provide any and all services needed for them to be able to achieve that.

What sets you apart from other Accountants?

I don’t try to set myself apart from other accountants as I don’t focus on the so-called competitors. I rather focus on trying my best to help my clients to the best of my ability to get the results that they are after.

What role does communication play in helping you operate a successful business?

Communication is integral to the success of any business. The key to effective communication is that it needs to be a two-way street. Communication could be between a business and its clients, owners, and managers, owners and team members, owners and the bank, business and its suppliers, etc. If I am not able to communicate with my clients effectively regarding expectations, desired outcomes, etc. then there is bound to be a disappointment in the end.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in business?

There is no one set formula to success but the effort you put into doing anything for your business has to be in the right area or else you will just end up wasting time achieving nothing.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

Believe in yourself and never give up. If something doesn’t work then try something else but don’t keep doing the same thing that didn’t work before expecting a different result next time.

Is there a book you’d recommended to help people stay motivated?

Write your bank balance and income in a book every week or every month and if it isn’t increasing then you need to change what you are doing.

What are your favourite hobbies?

I don’t mind traveling – more domestic for now and then more international in a couple of years’ time.
